Finally free to update the 2nd entry of my Laos trip, this is the 2nd day :)
Our original plan of building a toilet at nongduang was changed because some other volunteering group took over the toilet project. So we took on the classroom project in xaysettha school. Alvin tore down the whole basin single handedly, making their room basin-less. Drop by nong duang in the morning, according to peter it is a gangster school. The toilet and library is indeed more well off compared to the old ones. We was greeted warmly like some football stars or movie stars once we entered xaysettha school. The students there are super friendly, some are pretty shy initially. Ethan's cooking group cooked macroni for lunch. They gave us a tour around the school visting the computer lab and the construction site, and our objective of the project is to build 2 classroom. The food in the canteen is good, the beef ball taste like fish cake but it is nice though. The noodles there is good. Surprisingly there is bubble tea store in the canteen and it is taste better and more filling than singapore's bubble tea. Played volleyball against the school team of the school. We get owned badly, they are good :( The ball seem to fly anywhere except the opponent's court, i guess my volleyball skill are not up to it =/ Rae, lec ,clare and wj was in my team.
Chilled out at the lobby with the bms peeps at night, played 7-up with them. Some of us got wasted and "merlion" for the whole night. Au yong caught them mixing gender in the hotel room...she didnt do much apart of giving lecture and making them do report.
